Step 1:

Download the lastest windows distribution from this link

choose the right one, unzip locally to a folder

Step 2 :

search environment variables in your windows, and click it

Step 3 :

Add the folder of your installation from step 1 path to the path in the system environment variables.

Step 4 :

close the command prompt, restart the command prompt and try the command protoc
